What electric-Acoustic Guitar would you suggest I buy?

I've been playing acoustic guitar (with picks and fingerpicking) for some time now. I want to buy an electric-acoustic guitar that sounds good both unplugged and plugged. I've got around 6 or 7 hundred Canadian dollars in my budget. Definite "model one > model two" answers would be especially appreciated.

don't know, I play high end US stuff as a general rule and way out of your price range, however Seagull is a Canadian built guitar and quite nice, very underrated but get some of the best reviews on the market, might want to check one out, my girlfriend plays an S6 if that's any help.

acoustic is not a beginners guitar a lot of singers use them they can actually be collectors items my late stepfather played at the grand ole opry in the 50's and the guirar he used was an acoustic and when he bought it he paid 50 bucks for it, we recently had it appraised just bc and it is work like 1500 1 day it may be collectors item for him or someone in his family

For an acoustic, Yamaha makes good inexpensive models

For electric you'll get more for your money buying something made in korea or japan. Try Cort or Ibanez. You could also get a mexican made Fender, but I'd theres loads of good cheap guitars coming out of Korea.

Acoustic Guitar? HELP!?

People say it will be easier to learn the acoustic guitar before the electric -- truth? If this is how long should I Play Acoustic Electric before i go? Also, how long should it take to play decently good songs I'm 15 years if it makes a difference? Sorry for all the questions in 1 Thanks = D
