should my case be taking this long to come to a conclusion?
i got hurt on the job on 11/00 i now have 3 herniated disks in my neck and it broke my nose.i had cervical bone fusion surgery. i keep having the same pain it never got any better only worse. the insurance company had a problem with the doc who did the surgery and he was replaced by a state doctor. my problems continued to worsten so he had more scans and mri's and found that the fusion didn't take. so i seen a surgeon who want to put in plates and screws and said it will improve my mobility and the pain. any way i have seen several doctors.and it has been 6 years this year. do most cases drag out this long?
I'M NOW ON SOCIAL SECURITY BECAUSE I'M NO LONGER ABLE TO WORK. I WAS 49 AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT. WOULD CHANCING LAWYERS AT THIS LATE DAY CAUSE A PROBLEM WITH MY CASE? WE HAVE GONE TO COURT SEVERAL TIMES ALREADY AND NOTHING GET SETTLED. I NOT SURE WHO'S FAULT THAT IS, IF ANYONE'S.THANKS
My father is actually a vocational consultant and he handles a lot of cases of people who have been injured on the job and generally these cases take several years. Have you seen a vocational expert or gotten the advice to see one by any attorney representing you? These experts take the medical information, your job history, injuries, training, age and compile a report on your job outlook for the future. If you haven't seen a vocational expert you certainly should because that's one way to take solid information to your former employer in hopes of getting a settlement or some kind of back pay due to your injuries. So my best advice is to see a vocational expert and have them perform an evaluation and prepare a report.
