how to stop Classical Guitar machine heads rattling?
there is a little bit of what i assume is decorative metal on the machine head between the bit you twist and the mechanical bit and its loose and rattles when the string is played. On 4 of the machine heads it is tight but two of them are loose and rattle unless i put blue tack on them. Any suggestions of how to stop it from rattling?
Have you tried tightening the screws of the machine themselves? Other than that, your best bet (unless there is someone else here that knows a lot about classical guitars) would be to take the instrument to a qualified luthier and have them look at it.
