Key Clamp

What is the best way to remove 3M "very high bond tape"?
I placed a carbon fiber plate on my motorcycle triple clamp as a protection from key scratches with 3M VHB (very high bond tape) and would like to remove it. And before anyone suggests to call 3M, I tried and waited forever on customer service. Thanks.
The product you speak of is designed for permanent mounting, but NOT to create a permanent bond - weird, I know... It is part of their 'industrial molecular bonding' line. Anyway, if it is stuck to the stainless of your clamp, then You Can use something that won't scratch the clamp to pry one small part of it up. Apply a prying pressure and maintain pressure. It will slowly start to unstick. Then, to make it easier, put a couple of drops of Goo-Gone into the small opening you've made and continue to exert a lifting force. Clean up any residue (and there usually isn't any) on the clamp with Goo-Gone when you're done. Voila!
