Has anyone tried Dragonfire's David Gilmour style pickup set?
They can be found here: http://www.dragonfireguitars.com/product_info.php?cPath=26&products_id=364 They're called Dragonfire DFDG White Pearloid. They are active, use the same kind of tone controls as his emg set, anyone care to share how they like them?
frankly, I haven't gotten it to work yet. It's not the fault of the setup, per se. It's a combination of my laziness, my lack of electronics ability, and my lame guitar.
I had to swap the system off of the supplied pickguard and onto my old one, and then solder all the connections up again. Honestly, if You Can stick this in a Squier or "real" fender-ish guitar with the proper holes and cavities in it, it should be well worth the money.. I'll update when I finally get it together,.
