Classic Guitar Strings

I have a Classic Guitar, and one of the strings broke. What should I look for when I buy new ones?
What kind of guitar is it? I like to put Light Strings on my acoustic, I think there are some 'earthwood' or something on there now. My electric is a different story, and it needs to put up with alot more abuse, so I put heavy Ernie Ball strings on there. I have nylon on my classical, and my bass strings havn't been changed in 40 years. I use different guage picks for each guitar as well. I go from .75 mm wafer picks to these huge green crocodile picks.
