Will my guitar sound good?
Okay so im about to drop some serious cash on a custom stratocaster, and was wondering if any of the following specs will negatively impact the sound. I was hoping to get a pre-CBS (before 1960) stratocaster sound. I am aware that the P-Rails will only give a strat sound with certain wiring specifications.
Body: 1-peice solid swamp ash
Neck: AAA Flame maple neck with matching fingerboard, with a locking floyd rose nut
Frets: Vintage Fender Frets
Pickups: Seymour Duncan P-Rail Style Humbuckers
Bridge: Original Floyd Rose Tremolo
Thanks for any advice You Can give me.
well, what kind of amp do you have? In my experience, anything but pure tube will sound like garbage. I played my PRS Modern Eagle II through a SS amp, and it was horrible. I play on an all tube Mesa amp for practice, and an orange (brand not color) half stack for gigs.
But seeing as you didn't ask about amps, that guitar will sound great (through the right amp with the right settings). Nothing will impact the sound in a negative way. Good Luck and happy holidays.
