I disagree with the other answer. I am a guitar player with lots of experience, both teaching, performing and purchasing guitars. The way it usually works is this, you buy the best guitar You Can afford, not the cheapest. There are many reasons a guitar is more expensive or cheaper. Basically a cheap guitar doesn't sound good and is harder to play. A more expensive guitar sounds better and is easier on the fingers (easier to play). If you buy a cheap guitar the chances are you are going to give up, this is not always true but it happens a lot. Just my opinion and there are exceptional people that transcend all obstacles to become great guitarist even though they started out with a very cheap guitar.
