What's wrong with my fridge, cold at bottom warm at top?
I replaced the defrost timer. First I removed the panel in back lower of freezer, the evaporator was frosted up so I unplugged it and took a hair dryer to it. I plugged it back in it started working fine then the ice started melting again. the temp on bottom of freezer is 0 and top is 40, I'm afraid the evaporator is frosted up again. This is about a 10 year old side by side Amana. Any help?
I have a very similar problem with a bit older refrigerator of the same brand. I'm going to replace mine.
