Alvarez Yairi dy 50 1979 model?
I found this guitar a few moments ago a local lender. As shown This is a 1979 Yairi dy 50. He has two emblems on the back of the blade which indicates a limited edition. The guitar is in excellent condition, except heavy wear on top. No cracks, few cracks and chips finsh very heavy use. The guitar is priced at $ 329.00 ... I think that's a deal! However, I can not find much information in the value of the site. I know that sold new in 1979 in the area $ 600 - $ 700. It seems that the construction of solid maple with a spruce top .. I just thought that after this and see what everyone thought before picking up in the morning. Thank you! The manufacture date is 4-12-78 The neck is perfect and the sound is to die for my only concern is the wear on the top. It is obviously played a lot. and is very harsh on the top. The back and sides are almost perfect. The construction is solid, seamless.
That does not sound like a good price on it. Carefully check the neck for warping and look closely at the bridge and the wood grain of the cracks. Also, the BaCl the guitar where the neck joins the body. And most importantly, play, it seems.
